Leaked details from social media platforms and Twitter accounts have provided insights into the Atlas’s features. It is expected to feature a flat body design with a rectangular camera module on the back and slim bezels on the front, housing a punch-hole display for the selfie camera. Rendered in an Olive Green shade, the Atlas may offer additional color variants.

HMD Atlas Specs

Under the hood, the Atlas is rumored to pack a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It boasts a 6.64-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, offering a smooth viewing experience. Camera capabilities include a triple rear camera setup with a 48MP main sensor, 5MP ultra-wide lens, and depth sensor, along with a 16MP front camera.

A standout feature of the Atlas is its substantial 5,500mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 support, ensuring extended usage on a single charge. Connectivity options encompass 5G, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and more.

Despite its competitive specifications, some argue that the Atlas, along with its predecessor, the Pulse, may not be necessary in the market. Suggestions for improvement include upgrading the camera setup and pricing it more competitively.

With an expected price of $239.99, the HMD Atlas aims to carve a niche in the mid-range segment, offering enhanced features such as 5G connectivity and a larger battery capacity. As HMD’s latest budget offering, the Atlas seeks to capture the attention of consumers seeking value-oriented smartphones with reliable performance and modern features.
