iQOO, Vivo’s sub-brand, is preparing for the launch of its latest smartphones, the iQOO Z9 series, with imminent releases both in Malaysia and globally. In Malaysia, sightings in the SIRIM database suggest the arrival of the iQOO Z9 and Z9x models, hinting at similarities with the Chinese market’s offerings. Leaks hint at impressive features, including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and a 144Hz screen for the Z9, alongside an 80W charging battery. Meanwhile, the Z9x may offer a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset and 40W charging. The launch timing remains uncertain but may coincide with the Chinese debut on April 24 or shortly after. However, it’s unclear if the Turbo variant will be available locally.

iQOO Z9x Specifications
Globally, the iQOO Z9x is poised for a release following a recent sighting on the NBTC certification in Thailand. Key features include a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, a 6,000mAh battery with 44W wired fast charging support, and a 120Hz LCD panel. Camera-wise, it’s expected to sport a 50-megapixel dual camera setup. With its impending launch, iQOO aims to cater to mobile gamers’ needs, offering performance-oriented smartphones.
iQOO Magnetic Cooling Back Clip
Alongside the iQOO Z9 series, iQOO is introducing its first magnetic cooling back clip, designed to address heating issues during intense mobile gaming. The clip boasts a thin and lightweight profile of 19.9mm and 69g respectively, coming in Crystal White and Ice Shadow Black colors. It’s compatible with various smartphones and offers a streamlined cooling solution compared to previous models like the Cooler Back Clip 2 and Cooler Back Clip 2 Pro. The magnetic design allows for easy attachment and detachment without clamps or clips, catering to mobile gamers’ needs for performance without compromising on thermal management.
